Online Therapy for Therapists
I believe that it is important for therapy to be accessible for everyone - including busy professionals. For individuals interested in meeting face to face, I offer in-person services in my office in Atlanta, GA; in addition, I can offer online therapy/telehealth services to residents of Georgia, Oregon, and PSYPACT states. Online therapy (also known as Telehealth or telepsychology) increases the accessibility of therapy by reducing some of the barriers that the demands of daily life and busy schedules can impose.

In addition to being practical and convenient, recent research has demonstrated that is just as effective, and in some cases, more effective than in-person therapy. I provide the same quality of care, warmth, and connection and utilize the same therapeutic interventions as I do in person, but through virtual face-to-face online sessions. My clients are often surprised that our sessions through online therapy are just as in-depth and enriching as are our in person sessions.

Benefits of Online Therapy

-
Flexibility for Your Busy Schedule
As a therapist, your time is often stretched between client sessions, paperwork, and personal responsibilities. Online therapy provides the flexibility to fit self-care into your schedule without the added stress of commuting. Whether you prefer morning sessions before your day begins or evening sessions to wind down, online therapy allows you to prioritize your well-being on your terms.
-
A Safe Space in the Comfort of Your Environment
Therapy is most effective when you feel secure and at ease. With online therapy, you can engage in meaningful self-exploration from the comfort of your home, office, or another private space where you feel grounded. This level of familiarity can help you open up more fully and engage with the process in a way that feels natural and supportive.
-
Accessibility Across Geographic Barriers
Whether you’re located in an urban center or a rural area with limited access to culturally affirming therapists, online therapy bridges the gap. As a psychologist licensed in multiple states, I can provide accessible, inclusive care to therapists across regions, ensuring you receive the support you need regardless of your location.
-
Tailored Support for Marginalized Identities
For therapists from marginalized communities, finding culturally responsive and affirming care can be challenging. Online therapy connects you with a provider who understands the unique intersections of your personal and professional identities. Together, we can explore how systemic oppression, racism, and other dynamics impact your well-being, helping you develop strategies to navigate these challenges while staying true to yourself.
-
Confidentiality and Professionalism You Can Trust
Privacy is a cornerstone of effective therapy. My online sessions are conducted through HIPAA-compliant platforms to ensure your information is secure and protected. As a fellow therapist, I deeply understand the importance of confidentiality, especially when discussing the sensitive dynamics of your practice and personal life.
-
Accessibility for Therapists with Unique Needs
Online therapy accommodates a wide range of needs, whether you're managing physical health conditions, caregiving responsibilities, or time constraints. It reduces barriers to care, making it easier to access support without sacrificing other priorities in your life.
-
A Modality That Aligns with Modern Life
In today’s digital age, many therapists have adapted to offering virtual care for their clients. Online therapy allows you to experience the same modality you provide, giving you insight into its benefits and challenges while helping you connect with a professional who understands the intricacies of teletherapy.
-
Continuity of Care, No Matter Where You Are
If your professional or personal life involves travel or relocation, online therapy ensures you can maintain consistency in your care. This is especially beneficial for therapists who might move states or work remotely, as it provides an uninterrupted therapeutic relationship that adapts to your circumstances.
