Being a therapist is incredibly rewarding but also uniquely challenging work. I understand how vital it is for therapists and therapists-in-training to have a space where they can focus on their most important tool: their relational selves. That’s why I’ve created these groups—a supportive, affirming environment where you can explore both your personal and professional growth through an intersectional and multicultural lens. If you’re committed to anti-oppressive, anti-racist clinical work, these groups offer a meaningful opportunity to deepen your cultural humility and expand your skills.
In these groups, you’ll have the chance to grow both personally and professionally by:
-
Cultivating the ability to form deeper, more authentic connections.
-
Expanding your self-awareness, including an exploration of countertransference dynamics.
-
Building emotional range and intimacy capacity, both in your personal life and clinical work.
-
Reflecting on biases and examining the dynamics of power, privilege, and oppression in a supportive space.
If you’re ready to invest in yourself and enrich your capacity as both a therapist and a person,
I’d love to have you join us. Let’s do this important work together.
"Every therapist should have a therapy group for themselves to prevent burnout and for their continued professional and personal growth."
- Irving Yalom
About My Process Groups for Therapists
I offer process groups designed specifically for mental health clinicians, therapists, and therapists-in-training who want to deepen their growth in a supportive community of peers. My groups supportive, liberated space to connect, reflect, and grow—both as a professional and as a person.
What You Can Expect
-
While this process group experience (sometimes referred to as training groups) isn’t a therapy group, we fully honor the principles of confidentiality to create a safe and respectful space.
-
My groups are comprised of clinicians at all career levels from diverse backgrounds including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, counselors, marriage and family therapists, and trainees from all across the country
-
A core focus of our time together is the here-and-now—exploring thoughts, feelings, and dynamics as they arise in the group. Together, we’ll practice giving and receiving honest feedback, connecting in authentic and emotionally vulnerable ways, and building relational awareness. This process both fosters your personal growth, and also enhances your understanding of group dynamics from the perspective of both member and leader.
-
You’re invited to bring anything meaningful to your experience as both a therapist and a human being. Each session is shaped by what you and your fellow group members bring to the table. Common themes include:
-
Navigating attachment styles and relationship dynamics
-
Addressing burnout and compassion fatigue
-
Exploring finances, money mindsets, and professional sustainability
-
Overcoming imposter syndrome and concerns about professional identity
-
Sharing the joys and challenges of being a clinician
-
Processing race-based stress and the impact of living in a white supremacist society
-
Discussing countertransference dynamics as they occur within our group and within your therapeutic relationships
-
-
There is also ample opportunity for consultation and collaborative problem-solving when it feels helpful to the group.
 -
My facilitation style is informed by a relational, interpersonal, and psychodynamic orientations, grounded within an anti-racist, decolonized framework. My goal is to cultivate a space that promotes collective healing, nurtures cultural humility, and honors the richness of your unique experiences.
